This font crackles with spontaneous energy and movement. Lightning Crashes, designed by Misti, is a casual cursive that captures the authentic feel of hand-lettering while remaining genuinely readable when you need it to work hard on a project.

The flowing letterforms shine when applied to wedding invitation suites, offering a romantic touch without veering into overly formal territory. Greeting card designs benefit from its organic rhythm, and it's equally strong for crafting custom Etsy product labels where a personal, artisanal feel makes a genuine difference in how customers perceive your work. You'll find it works beautifully on event signage and hand-lettered social media graphics, anywhere you need letterforms that feel alive but not chaotic or difficult to parse at smaller sizes.

What sets this typeface apart is the inclusion of non-connecting lowercase alternates, which gives you real control over texture and composition. When you want letters stacked or positioned independently rather than flowing into one another, these alternates let you create that exact look without struggling through manual letter placement and adjustments. Pair Lightning Crashes with a clean, straightforward sans-serif for any supporting text to maintain visual hierarchy and readability across your designs.
