Laythis by Gatype is a modern handwritten script that brings contemporary elegance to any lettering work where personality needs to shine through. The flowing strokes and carefully balanced letterforms make it especially well-suited for luxury branding projects, invitation suites where the handwritten feel adds warmth and authenticity, and label designs that need a hand-drawn aesthetic without compromising refinement. It performs well for custom mug graphics thanks to its controlled expressiveness, and it handles both display and body copy effectively across a range of contexts: building a boutique skincare brand identity, creating personalized quote graphics for social feeds, or designing packaging for artisan products where hand-lettered quality matters.

The font comes in both OTF and TTF formats with a complete character set including uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and punctuation marks. What gives it real utility is the encoded PUA characters, which provide alternate glyphs and stylistic variations to draw from. You can vary your letterforms throughout longer text runs, avoiding the repetitive feel that sometimes plagues script fonts and keeping your work looking authentically hand-lettered and organic. The result is a script that remains visually interesting across different applications and design contexts.
