IRINA by Tagir Safayev is a caps-only typeface with roots in loose, expressive handwriting developed at ParaType in the 1990s. The design taps into that sketch-like energy you find in casual penmanship, capturing the unpolished confidence of someone writing quickly and freely. Yet despite its informal nature, IRINA carries enough weight and presence for serious typographic work. When every character exists only in capitals, each one gets its moment and refuses to disappear into the background of the composition.

This typeface shines for specific, practical applications: vintage concert and band posters where you need raw attitude without overthinking, artisan product labels for handmade cosmetics and small-batch botanical or herbal soaps, attention-grabbing event flyers and community announcements that need personality, plus street-art-inspired storefront signage for independent shops and galleries. The handwritten quality brings genuine character to contexts that typically demand sterile corporate polish. That sketch-like authenticity humanizes your message and makes it feel approachable, personal, and memorable rather than formal or emotionally distant.

Pair IRINA with photography or imagery that honors this hand-drawn sensibility, and you'll unlock that rare intersection where casual energy and confident intention coexist. It's worth exploring on Creative Fabrica.
