Hickson's captures the flowing elegance of hand-drawn calligraphy, with letterforms that balance ornament and readability in a distinctly vintage spirit. Designed by Gleb Guralnyk, this script brings authentic character to any project that needs genuine warmth rather than mass-produced polish.

The font includes two distinct variations that give you real flexibility: a clean version for crisp, formal applications, and a textured version that mimics the natural wear of aged handwriting. Beyond the base styles, you get a full set of OpenType features including ligatures, swashes, and stylistic alternates that let you customize individual letter treatments. This level of control proves invaluable when you're working on something that demands genuine personality and nuance in every detail.

Reach for Hickson's for wedding invitation suites where the script becomes the main visual element rather than supporting text. Vintage apothecary labels, menu cards for small restaurants and cafes, and social media graphics for boutique skincare brands all lean into the hand-lettered charm it offers. DIY product packaging, stationery design, and signage for craft studios round out the applications where this typeface delivers real impact. It's the kind of script that makes work feel genuinely handcrafted and considered, never like something mass-produced. You can find Hickson's on Creative Fabrica.
