You're laying out a wedding invitation suite and need lettering that truly feels handwritten but also holds up crisp at any size. Guttenwell Font, designed by Madatype Studio, is the typeface you reach for in these moments. This script typeface lives somewhere between formal elegance and relaxed confidence, with flowing letterforms and subtle swash details woven throughout the character set. The letterforms carry real personality without veering into ornament-heavy territory that overwhelms the composition or clutters the page.

The font works beautifully in specific projects: formal wedding stationery and event invitations, hand-lettered logo design for boutique brands, luxury cosmetics and skincare packaging, and personalized greeting card lettering. What makes it genuinely practical is the swash alternates and flourish variations that come built in. These give you control over how ornate the feel becomes, meaning you can dial in the right mood for anything from minimal modern branding to more decorative vintage-inspired work. The letterforms read clearly even at large display sizes, which is critical if you're using the font for menu headers, event signage, or oversized poster work. Scale doesn't dilute the handmade quality or character.
