Picture yourself designing a poster for your college reunion, and you need type that screams throwback energy with grit. Graduation Grunge, designed by Marty Letter Studio, is a slab serif with a weathered, deliberately cracked aesthetic that nails that vintage feel. The bold serifs and distressed surfaces make this font perfect for reunion announcements, vintage athletic merchandise labels, retro fitness studio signage, and sports-themed event promotions.

What makes Graduation Grunge work is that the grunge effect adds real character without becoming a caricature of itself. Irregular surfaces and intentionally imperfect edges give each letter an authentic, lived-in quality that draws the eye. You can build with it for class reunion graphics, throwback sports merchandise designs, distressed athletic badge layouts, vintage concert poster mockups, or retro record artwork. At smaller sizes, the slab serif structure stays readable, but it really sings at larger display scales where the texture does more of the heavy lifting. Even when covered in all that gritty detail, the underlying letterforms stay legible enough to do their job.
