Imagine a Valentine's Day card that stops someone mid-scroll: the lettering makes them want to pick it up and read every single word. That's the immediate pull of Going Steady, a color font created by Illustration Ink that blends playful, whimsical letterforms with a warm red and pink palette. Each character feels genuinely hand-drawn and personable, never sterile or corporate.

This typeface shines in romance-forward projects across multiple mediums and seasons. Wedding invitation suites gain charm and legibility at large sizes. Date night menu cards feel special without overdoing it. Greeting card designs spring to life with its personality and warmth. Small boutique brands also turn to it for custom apparel labels, product packaging for bath and body lines, and social media graphics announcing seasonal releases or sales. The PUA encoding gives you access to all glyphs and decorative swashes without digging through complicated menus.

As an OpenType-SVG color font, Going Steady renders beautifully in Photoshop, Illustrator, Silhouette, and Inkscape, though Cricut users will need to explore alternatives. The color palette stays locked once you place it, ensuring your designs remain consistent across all platforms. Pick up Going Steady from Creative Fabrica to add this spirited, charming typeface to your working collection.
