1 / 5About FILM NOUVEAU JNL Font
An image in the December 14, 1938 edition of “The Exhibitor” (a movie industry trade magazine) carried a picture of the Chelten Theater in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The marquee sign had neon lettering in a condensed type style that had some Art Deco influences, but leaned more toward that of Art Nouveau.
This provided a model for the typeface Film Nouveau JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.
