D'Borobudur by Gatra Std is a playful, handwritten slab serif with genuine charm and unmistakable character. The distinctive letterforms feel deeply personal and warm without sacrificing readability, making it work equally well at headline sizes or in smaller display applications. This is the font you reach for when a design needs real personality and that human touch, capturing the feeling of something crafted by hand rather than calculated by a computer.

The thick, rounded strokes give D'Borobudur its approachable, friendly feel, which makes it particularly effective for children's book illustrations and picture book covers. Greeting card suites gain instant warmth from these letterforms, while designers working on indie toy branding, comic book lettering, or vintage poster series find it captures exactly that playful, nostalgic quality they're chasing. Educational materials for kids benefit greatly from its readable, non-threatening character. It's also surprisingly effective for packaging small goods, from artisan candle labels to handmade soap branding, where that handcrafted aesthetic signals quality and care. Rounded geometry keeps letters distinct and readable even when set smaller, so it functions reliably across applications.
