Blank Gunshot, designed by Arterfak Project, is a slab serif with visual teeth. The typeface trades delicate serifs for chunky, sharp edges, and decorative spurs interrupt the letterforms to deliver that Wild West punch without feeling cartoonish or theatrical. Its placement between retro and modern feels intentional, readable but undeniably bold.

Stylistic alternates come built in, so you can swap characters to fine-tune the vintage vibe as you work. This flexibility suits some oddly specific projects: custom whiskey bottle labels with that saloon-bar authenticity, rodeo event posters that need real type weight to punch through the competition, vintage band flyers with a desert or outlaw edge, and Western-themed wedding invitations that veer into quirky rather than precious. Whether your project is a Shopify store header, a book cover for a Western novel, or hand-lettered signage for a themed venue, Blank Gunshot delivers that authentic rough-hewn character without reading as pastiche.

Built for designers working on retro Western projects and anyone drawn to that intersection of classic serif warmth and modern irreverence, this font rewards the time you spend experimenting with it. Download it on Creative Fabrica and see what kind of Wild West story you can tell with your work.
