This font carries the bold, nostalgic punch of vintage athletics and retro print culture. Aerotow, designed by Leonard Posavec, is a handcrafted slab serif that channels the genuine letterpress energy of 1970s and '80s graphic design.

The weighted character set gives each letter distinct personality, making it ideal for vintage concert and event flyers, sports team merchandise graphics, retro product labels and packaging design, and editorial headers in independent magazines and design-focused fanzines. Chunky serifs and confident spacing make Aerotow equally effective as a display headline or a commanding accent in print layouts. The typeface holds its retro authenticity at any size, whether used large or squeezed into tighter editorial spreads. What sets it apart is how the font refuses to feel like a modern throwback, instead capturing the genuine character of authentic vintage type.

Print designers and DIY makers reach for Aerotow when they need that specific 70s-80s attitude without resorting to worn-out clichés. Its generous letterforms command attention in posters, postcards, and packaging projects. Pair it with a clean, geometric sans-serif for supporting text to let the vintage character take center stage where it matters. Grab Aerotow on Creative Fabrica and inject genuine retro soul into your next project.
