Pelican Shade evokes a gentle, nostalgic warmth that feels both playful and carefully considered. Designed by OliviaFontCo, this brushed slab-serif handwritten typeface brings authentic character and real personality to projects that deserve a more personal, handmade touch. The letterforms walk a deliberate line between modern sensibility and vintage charm, striking a balance that keeps it grounded even when it leans into its romantic side.

Strong legibility holds up at any size, from headlines down to supporting text, making it a reliable choice for print work. This typeface truly shines on vintage-style product labels and handmade greeting card suites, where the brushed texture reinforces the handcrafted story. Scrapbooking layouts gain personality from it, as do DIY nursery room signs and children's book cover designs where that softer, more human quality strengthens the overall feel. The subtle texture adds visual warmth without creating reading friction, so it works equally well dominating a magazine spread or supporting a personal craft project.

Combine Pelican Shade with a clean, geometric sans-serif for any body text that needs to share the page, letting this typeface lead where its personality matters most. Find it on Creative Fabrica and bring that nostalgic charm to your next design work.
