1 / 8About BURFORD Font
Burford has that deeply satisfying, retro quality you get from layered type and hand-rendered letterforms. Burford, created by Kimmy Design, is a strategic dingbat system that gives you dimensional control without requiring complex design software like Illustrator or InDesign.
The Pro package includes 18 fonts, all strategically designed to stack on each other: five base layers, three top layers, five bottom layers, plus two sets of graphic elements. All of them work together so you can layer fonts to create dimensional letterforms and genuine ornamental depth. Each font layer includes stylistic alternatives for A, C, E, F, G, H, P, Q, and R, giving you variation options within the system. The Basic version strips away the layering-exclusive files and gives you 13 standalone fonts for designers using simpler tools. Both packages include roughly 100 decorative elements per extras set: banners, borders, corners, arrows, line breaks, catchwords, and anchors.
Use it for vintage wedding invitation suites, scrapbooking page layouts, greeting card interiors, and DIY craft signage. Each font works standalone too, so the layering system isn't mandatory if you prefer flat type. Pair Burford's ornamental richness with a clean, minimal sans-serif for body copy to let both shine without competing. Find it on Creative Fabrica.
