Rich ornamentation rooted in genuine historical sources and design intelligence. Allerlei Zierat Family, created by Intellecta Design, draws directly from Schelter & Giesecke's legendary 1902 specimen book, a foundational reference from the Leipzig firm that once supplied Europe's most ambitious printers with borders, capitals, and complete decorative systems for printing. Rather than a casual revival or generic ornament set, this represents genuine research and careful reinterpretation of those archival materials.

The collection spans five complete ornament sets plus an ornamental capitals font, each thoughtfully extracted and adapted from the foundry's archives. Motifs range across flowers and heraldic badges, animals and classical silhouettes, occupational symbols and Victorian vignettes. You'll find these elements work beautifully in vintage certificates and formal letterheads, Art Nouveau-inspired wedding invitations and stationery suites, hand-drawn bookplate designs, or elaborate decorative menu cards for restaurant print projects. The mix of design languages (Art Nouveau, classical, traditional) within one cohesive family resists feeling scattered or derivative, offering both breadth and visual coherence.

Pair Allerlei Zierat with a restrained sans-serif for body text, letting the ornaments serve as intentional accents and structural borders throughout your layouts. Get it on Creative Fabrica and unlock the full toolkit for building layered, historically informed design work.
