Sticks and Stones by yh.seaofknowledge is a handwritten slab serif with a warm, casual personality that sits somewhere between genuinely friendly and readable. The typeface carries the organic irregularity of pen strokes, which keeps it from feeling sterile even when set at longer body text passages.

This one works particularly well in editorial and publishing contexts where you want character without sacrificing legibility. Think children's book interiors, indie publishing covers, literary journal mastheads, and independent bookstore signage that doesn't shout. The slab structure gives it enough presence to hold weight as display text, but the hand-drawn quality prevents it from becoming heavy or aggressive. That balance makes it useful in unexpected places like craft journal layouts, sustainable packaging design, and greeting card interiors where organic-feeling typography genuinely matters to the overall aesthetic.

The font carries enough personality to work standalone, but it also pairs well with more neutral sans-serifs if you're building a layered typographic system. If you work with small press publications, handmade stationery, or anything that needs warmth without sacrificing professional polish, this deserves a closer look.
