Imagine designing signage for a vintage gelato shop or creating packaging that evokes that mid-century Italian sweetness. HT Gelateria, crafted by Dharma Type, is a script that draws from expressive hand-lettered signs found in old European ice cream parlors. This is the kind of typeface that transforms ordinary projects into something with genuine nostalgic appeal and warmth.

What sets Gelateria apart is its distinctive treatment of dots and tail strokes. Rather than letting these elements fade softly into the letterforms, the designer finished them as sharp points that create a subtle sparkle across the text. The overall movement remains smooth and flowing, elegant in its proportions, but those pointed accents give it personality and visual interest. You'll find this detail working well on vintage ice cream packaging, antique sweet shop signage, nostalgic bakery branding, and retro cosmetics labels. All of these applications come alive when paired with handcrafted letterforms that feel authentic without sacrificing legibility.

The font truly performs at larger display sizes, where those pointed accents catch the light. Pick up HT Gelateria on Creative Fabrica to bring vintage character to your designs.
