The slab serif has a distinctive geometry to it that feels both grounded and thoroughly contemporary. Haru, designed by Trotoart Design, captures this balance with striking clarity. The letterforms sit solid and confident, with that characteristic thick-and-thin contrast that slab serifs are known for, making the typeface highly readable at any size while maintaining a gentle sophistication that pairs equally well with minimalist layouts or more complex compositions.

Where this font really shines is in the kinds of projects where you need something that feels intentional but not precious. Wedding invitation suites benefit immediately from its warmth and approachability, while Etsy product label design gets an instant sense of craft and genuine care. Magazine editorials and feature spreads read cleanly even when set at smaller body text sizes, and boutique skincare packaging or lifestyle brand collateral finds something rare in Haru: approachable yet visibly considered. Social media graphics and brand identity systems both hold their own. With ligatures included, you get extra textural control when you want it, letting you fine-tune how letterforms interact on the page.

Haru suits designers and brands looking for a typeface that carries weight without demanding attention. Print, digital, or cross-platform work all feel natural in this face. Find it on Creative Fabrica.
