There's something magnetic about letterforms that carry the ghost of handwriting, and Mrs Sheppards Pro captures that perfectly. Designed by Alejandro Paul and Sudtipos, this script pulls from the Bluemlein Collection, a historic archive of hand lettering that thrived in 1930s New York. The typeface was born from an unconventional process: collecting actual signatures, then constructing complete alphabets from their most distinctive elements. The result feels lived-in and authentic in a way that purely digital scripts often miss.

This one works beautifully for vintage wedding invitations, hand-lettered product packaging, boutique cosmetics labels, and custom signage for indie cafes and bookshops. The script has enough character to stand alone in headlines and decorative applications, while its expansive character set and multiple weights give you flexibility without sacrificing personality. Work this into a luxury brand identity or a smaller DIY project, and the letterforms deliver that expensive, bespoke quality that signals real care.

Pair Mrs Sheppards Pro with a neutral serif or clean sans-serif for any body text to keep things readable. You'll find it on Creative Fabrica if you're ready to add this piece of lettering history to your toolkit.
