Picture designing a vintage-style Halloween party invitation or spooky merchandise label that really needs personality to stand out. Alhazed, created by Hatf Type, is a slab-serif with gothic and playful horror sensibilities, bringing those exact qualities to whatever page it lands on. Its sturdy serifs and quirky proportions create a comic-book-meets-haunted-house energy that reads clearly at any scale, from bold headlines to supporting typography in tighter layouts.

Use Alhazed for horror-themed book covers and graphic novel titles where you need visual punch without looking cheap or generic. It shines on vintage Halloween product labels, spooky greeting card designs, and promotional posters for costume shops or local Halloween events. The font's layered construction offers real flexibility, working as a bold display anchor on its own or functioning as a novelty effect layer if your concept calls for that extra playfulness. Its warm, retro personality also suits comic-style branding and Halloween merchandise graphics beautifully, bringing vintage authenticity that feels earned rather than forced.

Readability holds strong at large display sizes, so Alhazed won't get lost on signage or posters. Find it on Creative Fabrica and let it carry the visual weight for any project needing authentic spooky personality without apology.
